Clayton Kadel, 55, Beloit

BELOIT – Clayton Thomas Kadel, 55, passed away on October 21, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Born on September 23, 1971, Clayton was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his playful personality and mischievous sense of humor. A true prankster, Clayton had a way of keeping people on their toes, and those who knew him will remember his ability to bring laughter and a little trouble wherever he went.
During his high school years, Clayton played football, building memories and friendships that remained part of his life’s story. After graduating, he developed multiple sclerosis at a young age, a condition that became a part of his life’s journey. Despite the challenges he faced, Clayton remained a man whose story was defined not only by his struggles but also by his family, his personality, and the things he loved, like being able to mow his own lawn.
One of Clayton’s greatest loves was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply, and his family was an important part of who he was. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations who carry his name, his memories, and pieces of his spirit with them.
Clayton was also passionate about gardening. He found joy in tending to his plants and watching things grow. Much like a garden, the love he planted in the lives of those around him will continue to grow long after his passing.
Clayton is survived by his mother, Brenda Kadel; his sister, Mary; and Mary’s partner, Kolby Hughston. He is also survived by his five children Aaron, Logan (Karman), Landon (Jessica), Courtney and Kimberlyn, and 4 grandbabies, Ashton, Aiden, Amara and Rief along with several nieces and nephews.
Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Kadel and granddaughter Ella Sue.
Though his family must now learn to live without his presence, the memories he leaves behind will remain. His laughter, his pranks, his love for his family, and the moments shared with those closest to him will never be forgotten.
Life is measured not only by the years we are given, but by the memories we create, the love we share, and the lives we touch along the way. Clayton’s life was part of a much larger family story, and his place in that story will always remain.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Funeral services were October 24 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Sylvan Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the BJSHS Athletic Department. Roberts Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
