SEDGWICK, FORMERLY BELOIT – Ronda Lea Mishler went home to be with the Lord on September 22nd, 2026. She was born on November 8th, 1954, to Kendall and Sally Studer in Beloit, KS. She attended Beloit schools and graduated in 1972. She attended Salina Beauty Academy in Salina, KS, and started her lifelong career as a cosmetologist and entrepreneur. She worked various jobs through the years and never seemed to have just one. She started Hometown Café & Convenience in Sylvan and operated it for several years. She also served in her church and community as much as possible and took pride in helping people. Most recently she had moved back to the Wichita area and found great joy teaching cooking classes working at Sur La Table.
Ronda loved the Lord and had a thirst for knowledge; she spent many hours reading and studying the bible, health, wellness, and anything else that interested her. Ronda was always willing and able to quote scripture and discuss theology to her family and friends and in doing so instilled a love of Christ in her children and grandchildren. Ronda had many hobbies and would happily share her knowledge on holistic healing, cooking, and crafting with everyone. There wasn’t much she couldn’t do or wouldn’t at least try. She loved the outdoors, biking, hiking, the adventure of traveling and discovering new things. Our family spent many weekends on the water; teaching us how to swim, boating, skiing, wakeboarding, and of course, “Canoe, Canoe, Canoeing”. She never met a stranger, and it didn’t matter where we went; she would know someone there, and if not, she would have a friend when we left. Ronda deeply loved her immediate and extended family, was particularly close with her wonderful cousins, and took every opportunity to attend family gatherings and activities. She loved music and was particularly fond of the Beach Boys. Ronda had sense of humor and a boisterous laugh she loved a good joke and, like her dad, especially the one about a wide-mouthed frog. She brought energy, effort, tenacity, love, and laughter to everything she did. Her sudden illness and departure from this earth caught us all by surprise. She will be greatly missed, but we are joyful that she is already home in the loving arms of her Savior.
She is survived by her children Jason Sigle, Jennifer (John) Huehl, Jill (Ryan) Georg, Jera (Doug) Kressly, and Jessica (Marc) Stoddard. Her brother and sisters Mark Studer, Yvonne (Kent) Melton, Connie (Tim)Hager, close friend Martin Hansen, her grandchildren Alex Sweet, Kyle (Jordan) Sweet, Cameron Stec, Casey Sigle, Caitlyn Sigle, J.C. Huehl, Jonah (Haddie) Huehl, Jaden Huehl, Logan Kressly, Draven Kressly, Jayan Cravens, Connor Kressly, Duncan Kressly, Mollie Georg, Deacon Georg, Henry Georg, Delaney Kitch-Vondracek and great grandchildren Aria, Navy and Indie, along with countless cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kendall and Sally; her husband, Darrell Mishler; and her nephew, Alex Studer.
Ronda’s celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at the First Christian Church 321 N Mill St. Beloit, KS
