BOISE, IDAHO – Wathena Pearl Diers Kennedy, 87, of Boise, Idaho (formerly of Beloit) passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 peacefully in her sleep at home. Wathena was born in Hunter on Dec. 27, 1933 to William and Lottie Tolbert Diers. She had one sister, Doris Garst, and grew up in Beloit. She married the love of her life, Alfred Landon and had three children, Deborah Ann, Mark Allen and Kristi Diane.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and daughter Kristi.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie, son Mark (Tami); their children Logan (Alyssa), Allison and Douglas Kennedy; son-in-law Monty (Shirley) Chiles and their children Kelli, Mackenzie Chiles and Shirley’ s children Madeline, Kayla and Kendra and three great-grandchildren Sage, Penny and Norah Kennedy.
Private Internment will be held at Idaho State Veteran’ s Cemetery, Boise, Idaho, and Celebration of her life will be held June 25, 2022 at the Snake River Resort.
