Robert Leo Heinen, age 91 of Round Rock Texas died, surrounded by family, Sunday November 18th, 2018 after a brief illness

Born June 11th 1927 in Cawker City Kansas to Henry and Helen Heinen, Bob attended grade and high school in Cawker City and his senior year at Maur Hill in Atchison KS. After high school he enlisted in the Marines at the age of 18 serving during the closing years of World War II. After being discharged at the end of the war Bob helped out at his father’s farm implement business.

Bob attended Wichita Business College and then returned to join his father’s business once again. After his father’s death, he joined the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier and served the post office for 34 years.

Bob took up golf at the age of 32 and was a scratch golfer for years at the Beloit Country Club in Kansas. Bob’s tournament wins were many but the friends he made around the area far surpassed that.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Marilyn Annette Krier. He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann of Round Rock TX, daughter Joleen (Art) Austin of Alamogordo NM, daughter Nancy Morris of Wichita KS, Lisa (Chris) Dunn of Round Rock TX, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one sister Cleone Seidel of Duluth Georgia.

Bob will be cremated and his remains interred at a graveside service to be held at the Catholic cemetery in Cawker City KS later in the spring or summer of 2019.
