Penny Ailleen Rojo resided for these last several years and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.
Penny worked in a host of industries including restaurant service, personal caregiver, customer service, and carnival attractions. Her hobbies included baking, cooking, card games, socializing, hosting gatherings with family and friends, and showering them with small gifts as a token of her love. She also loved listening to a variety of music including country, rock, and oldies. She will be remembered for the love she had and showed toward her family and friends; her entertaining conversation, and her caring spirit for all.
She is survived by her only son, Larry Rojo (Hanna), grandchildren Draken Steele, Emma Steele, and Drizzten Rojo, sister Cindy Tieking of Salina, KS; brother Willie Tieking of Augusta KS, sister Candie Tieking of Reno, Nevada, sister Jeannie Gerard of Beloit, Ks and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on January 7, 2023, at Beloit First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Bell St., Beloit, KS 67420 at 2:00 pm. A light luncheon to follow.
SALINA – Penny Ailleen Rojo (61), was called her to her eternal home on December 4th, 2022, and passed on surrounded by loved ones and friends.
Penny was born to William and Pearl Tieking on January 8th, 1961, and was one of five children. Following graduation from Beloit Senior High School in 1979, she moved to Salina, KS, and worked at Tony’ s Pizza. While living in Salina, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and a host of many friends.
She then moved to Montana where she married David Rojo and had her only son Larry, the joy of her life. She spent several years living in Beloit, KS, and Hathaway, Louisiana then returning to Salina, Ks where she
