NORTH CAROLINA – Margaret Walburga Grelinger Keeler was born on the Grelinger farmstead located 5 miles north of Beloit on April 20, 1940. She passed away at her residence on June 23, 2023 in Oak Island, North Carolina, She was the sixth child of seven and the only girl. She attended Plum Creek school and Saint John the Baptist Catholic grade and high school. She graduated high school in 1958 along with 25 other students.
After high school Margaret attended Saint Joseph school of nursing, Wichita, Ks graduating in 1961. She worked in several facilities over the years, many of them being nursing homes.

Margaret was married to Don Keeler on September 3,1960 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beloit, Kansas. To this union five children were born, Greg, Toni, Tamera, Brian, and Chris. They lived on a farm near Montrose before moving to Kearney, Nebraska for several years. They eventually moved to North Carolina and last settled on Oak Island, North Carolina.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Sophia Grelinger, brothers, Lawrence (Mary), John (Carol), Paul, Don and grandson Patrick Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Don , and her five children all of North Carolina and numerous grandchildren. Other survivors are brothers, Norbert of Beloit, Bob (Sue) Derby, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Grelinger of Kansas City. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oak Island, North Carolina. Burial services will be at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery also known as Greenwood Cemetery Montrose, Jewell county Kansas.
