BELOIT – Lynn Roger Dietz of Beloit, Kansas was born October 12, 1939, in Ionia, Kansas. He departed this life December 31, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 84 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Rolla and Martha Dietz and son Steven Dietz.
Lynn married Shirley Ethel Hake on January 16, 1958. In the sixty-five years of marriage, Lynn and Shirley went on to have four children where they resided in Beloit, Kansas.
Lynn taught Heavy Equipment Operation at North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, Kansas for thirty-seven years. He enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events, visits with his grandchildren, trips to Branson, Missouri and watching NASCAR and the Kansas City Royals.
Lynn will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in his family’s hearts.
Survivors include wife, Shirley Dietz of Beloit, Ks; son Gary Dietz (Judi) of Bel Air, Ks; son, Craig Dietz (Connie) of Wichita, Ks; daughter Rhonda Evans (Mark) of Wichita, Ks; sister, Carol Leonard of Overland Park, Ks; sister Sheri Schmidt (Chris) of Kiowa, Co; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 11:00 AM in Ionia, Kansas.
