The Sunflower Award honors clinical staff who go above and beyond in providing exceptional care. Nominees consistently demonstrate skill, compassion, kindness, dedication, and enthusiasm—qualities that make them outstanding role models for patients, families, and colleagues alike.
We are proud to announce that our Sunflower Award honoree is Emma Louthan-Otte, CNA. Her nomination read: “Oh my, what a sweet thoughtful girl with such a beautiful attitude. Always putting the patient first with a smile. She made you feel like you were her only patient. Beautiful gentle soul.”
In addition, we would like to recognize the other outstanding employees nominated during this award cycle: Lauran Durham, Discharge Planner; Amber Krier, Rehabilitation Services Director; Hanna Pearson, Lead Occupational Therapist; and Danielle Payton, Activities Coordinator.
Employees may be nominated by providers, patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, or MCHHS employees. Nominations can be submitted online at www.mchks.com/EmployeeRecognitionAwards, and awards are presented twice a year.
Jan Kemmerer, Director of Nursing, shared, “Emma Louthan-Otte is truly an awesome employee, and we are so proud that she won the Sunflower Award. She came to us from RCC and does an amazing job.”
