SHAWNEE – Lela Doughty File, 89, passed away on November 29, 2020, in Shawnee, Kansas.
Lela was born December 24, 1931, in Stockton, Kansas, to Caroline and James Albright. She attended school in Stockton, Ks.
After her marriage to Stanley Doughty the family moved to Osborne. where Lela was an active member of the First Christian Church and the Osborne Saddle Club.
Lela worked at the Beloit Youth Center for many years.
In June of 1991 she married Ronald File and they moved to Ron’s farm in Beloit, Ks. They traveled extensively on cruises and bus tours around the United States. They enjoyed playing cards with their friends. Lela also played cards at the Beloit Country Club and with several different groups and was also an active member of the Beloit Christian Church.
Upon the death of Ronald, she moved to Shawnee, Ks and lived there until her death,
Lela is survived by her children Diana Thayer, Beverly Roman, Steven Doughty, Timothy Doughty and many Grandchildren.
