Lady Trojans earn Regional track title in Beloit

Beloit Girls qualify 15; Boys qualify 7 for State

BELOIT– The 2026 Regional Track and Field meet was held in Beloit on May 21 in Beloit with high 60 degree temperatures and some rain at the end. The Beloit ladies won the Regional Championship title as a team with 122.5 points followed by Southeast of Saline at 69 points and Scott Community High with 48.5 points. The Beloit boys team placed fourth with 58 points. Southeast of Saline won the championship with 86 points followed by Norton with 64 and Scott Community High with 60 points.

State competition will take place on May 29-30 at Wichita State University Stadium, 21st and Hillside, Wichita.

The Beloit ladies earned 10 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals, 2 fourth, 2 fifth, 3 sixth, 8 seventh place.

Gold medalists were Bently Pruitt in the pole vault with a clearing of 10’ 6” and in the shot put with a throw of 39’ 5.25”; Brecken Boudreaux in the long jump at 17’ 10.25”; Samantha Thompson in the discus with a throw of 131’ 4”; Autumn Lorenz in the javelin with a throw of 141’ 9”; Dakota Gray in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.77; the 4x100m relay team of Autumn Lorenz, Dakota Gray, Bently Pruitt, Addyson Channell with a time of 49.63.

Silver medals went to Vivian Thompson in the high jump with a clearing of 5’ 4”; Samantha Thompson in the shot put at 37’ 8.50”.

Bronze medalists were Landry Litton in the shot put with a throw of 37’ 7.50”; Dakota Gray in the 300m hurdles with a time of 47.31.

Placing fourth were Zayda Purvis in the pole vault at 9’ 6”; Autumn Lorenz in the long jump at 17’ 2.75”.

Fifth placers were Samantha Thompson in the javelin with a throw of 125’ 1”; Vivian Thompson in the 400m dash in 1:01.24

Placing sixth were Dakota Gray tied at 5’; Brecken Boudreaux in the triple jump at 34’ 4.25”; Addyson Channell in the 100m dash with a time of 12.86

Placing seventh were Taelynn Bockover in the pole vault at 9’; Bently Pruitt in the 100m dash in 12.97; Reese Richards in the 1600m run in 5:49.17; Addyson Channell in the 200m dash in 26.95; the 4x400m relay team of Vivian Thompson, Addyson Channell, Scarlett Ludwig, Autumn Lorenz with a time of 4:13.54.

Beloit boys earned 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals, 2 fourth, 3 fifth, 1 sixth, 1 seventh place.

Gold medalist was Griffin Johnson in the shot put with a throw of 57’ 10”.

Silver medals went to Henry Tice in the pole vault with a clearing of 13’ 6”; Kross Kemmerer in the shot put with a throw of 55’ 8.75”.

Bronze medalists were Griffin Johnson in the discus with a throw of 157’ 4”; Brody Litton in the shot put with a throw of 54’ 5”.

Fourth place went to Kemmerer Kross in the discus with a throw of 153’ 9”; John Lomax in the javelin with a throw of 190’ 8”.

Placing fifth were Gunner Gray in the triple jump at 41’ 2.50”; Brody Litton in the discus with a throw of 147’ 8”; Jacob Hand in the 300m hurdles in 41.48.

Sixth place went to Gunner Gray in the long jump at 20’ 3”.

A seventh place went to John Lomax in the pole vault at 12’ 6”.
