Jimmy Lee Lynch, 83, Beloit

BELOIT – Jimmy Lee Lynch was born on June 21, 1938 in Beloit, Kansas to Frances Olive Briney-Lynch and Howard Burton Lynch. He graduated the Class of 1956 from Beloit High School where he participated in Football, Basketball, Track and several other activities. Jim attended Fort Hays University for two years where he played Football. Jim joined the Army on Nov 1960 and Honorably Discharged from the United States Army Reserve as a Sargent in September 1966. His military grade was Medical Specialist, where he was assigned to General Hospital in Oakland, California, whereas he resided in California for most of his life.

His joy was his yacht docked in the San Diego Harbor in which he lived on for over 10 years. His career was spent as a Mortgage Loan Officer for several companies.

Jim was married three times; to Priscilla A. Zeeb, Nancie M. Bergdahl and Gatha L. Reed.

He passed from complications of a stroke and heart issues on November 9, 2021 at the age of 83. The family thanks his best friend, Riga Moore for her care during his last months and her friendship.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Dale Burton Lynch and his wife Janice Elaine Sams-Lynch both interred in Longmont, CO and his younger sister, Sharon Kay Lynch-Williams interred in Beloit, KS.

His immediate family includes his only daughter, Laura Jean Lynch.

His nieces and nephews include the children of Dale and Janice Lynch; Kim and husband Brent McSwain of Lakewood, CO, Kris and husband David Powers of Brigham City, UT and Dean Lynch of Kersey, CO. Sharon’ s husband, Bill Williams resides in California near their daughter, Andrea Kay Scripps and son, Garret and wife Shelby Williams. His great nieces include Jamie, Lindsey, Abbey, Sadie, Sydney and Emerson and great nephews include Joshua, Corey, Nolan and Hudson.

He will be remembered by his sense of humor, great stories and sharp mind. He will be interred in Elmwood Cemetery next to his parents and sister. Private family services will be held on March 25, 2022 at Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit, KS.
