BELOIT – The Beloit Police Department is sad to hear of the passing of K9 Gero. K9 Gero was a dual-purpose K9 and instrumental in many traffic stops for drugs and, at times, criminal apprehension for the City of Beloit. K9 Gero was also called at times by other agencies for assistance.
K9 Gero was first paired with then Officer Chad Lackey, then later with Officer Andrew Mai, and retired with him to enjoy life after police work. K9 Gero, please Rest In Peace; we will hold the line from here. Thank you for your dedicated service to the citizens of Beloit and Mitchell County.
