RANDALL – Dawna I. Green, 85, of Randall, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home in Beloit.
Dawna was born Dec. 1, 1933 at Randall, the daughter of Ralph Ray Clawson and Beulah Marguerite (Hutchens) Clawson.
Dawna was a 1955 graduate of Randall High School. She attended college at Kansas State University, Kansas Wesleyan University and Fort Hays State University, majoring in Education, in which she recieved two Master's Degrees. She taught 4th grade at Beloit and gifted students around the Oklahoma City area for many years.
She met her longtime companion while living in Oklahoma City. They retired together and lived in Las Vegas for awhile before moving back to Randall. They enjoyed treasure hunting at auctions and going to garage sales.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Tanner Wright and Taylor Barnes; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews and three step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Daniel Sullivan; daughter, Sabrina Wright; brothers, Jim and Jack; sisters, Dalphene, Patricia and Martha.
Graveside funeral services will be Wedesday, June 26, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Randall Cemetery with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25 from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Kleppinger Funeral Home, Jewell.
