NORTON — Community partners from across the region are invited to attend one of two NWKS Resource Partner Meet and Greet events in October.
The come-and-go gatherings are designed to connect community leaders, local officials, business owners and others with organizations offering funding opportunities, programs, guidance and support throughout Northwest Kansas.
“Through these gatherings, we hope to broaden our circle of connections, strengthen relationships through face-to-face interaction and help communities better understand the resources available to them. We hope to see you there,” said Scott Sproul, president and CEO of the Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc.
There are two sessions available to attend with one in Beloit from 9-11 a.m. on Oct. 21 at the Beloit Municipal Building, 119 N. Hersey.
The events are intended for economic development staff and boards, city and county government staff, elected officials, community foundation representatives, business owners, community leaders and volunteers, as well as anyone interested in the continued progress of Northwest Kansas.
Featured programs and organizations include the Rural Business Cooperative Service, Kansas Department of Commerce, United States Department of Agriculture, Dane G. Hansen Foundation and Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc.
Attendees may stop by at any point during the two-hour event to meet resource partners, ask questions and explore funding opportunities, programs and other resources that could support their next business, community or economic development project.
RSVPs are requested by Oct. 16.
