Carole Ann (Marler) Lee, 85, Tucson

TUSCON, ARIZONA – On November 16, 2020, Carole Ann (Marler) Lee, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 85 at Tucson, Arizona after a brief illness.

Carole Ann was born February 7, 1935, at Simpson, Kansas to Claude and Gladys (Wolf) Marler. She attended Simpson High School and Kansas State University. She taught school in Concordia, Kansas and in Lansing, Michigan where she met and married Rex Lee. Carole later worked in and retired from the accounting department at Michigan State University. Rex and Carole were blessed with two daughters—Jennifer (Steve) Momber, Lansing, Michigan and Barbara (Joe) Rivers of West Chester, Ohio and one grandson, Richard Momber, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She and Rex retired to Tucson, Arizona, in 1997.

Carole was active in the Methodist church and participated in many volunteer activities. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a passionate genealogist of the Marler family history, a major fan of MSU football and basketball and enjoyed bridgeplaying, cooking, sewing, gardening and photography. She and Rex also enjoyed many wonderful travel adventures during their marriage. Carole is survived by her husband, Rex, her daughters and grandson, as well as many cousins.

An inurnment of Carole’s remains will take place at the Delphos, Kansas Cemetery at a later date.
