Billy Albert Bean, 84, Colorado Springs, Co.

Posted

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – Bill Albert Bean, 84, passed away May 18th as result of complications from a fall in his home.

Bean was born outside Concordia, KS, to Francis and Hazel (Cammel) Bean, and spent much of his younger life in Beloit, making lifelong friends, and graduating from Beloit High School in 1956.

After marrying Deanna Brooks and settling for awhile in Beloit, Bill and his family moved around a bit spending time in Rolla, Springfield, and Warrensburg Missouri, ultimately landing in Colorado Springs in 1971.

Bill was a salesman at heart. Selling everything from bread door-to-door, to high-end motor coaches. He was an award winning salesman for several automotive and recreational vehicle dealerships in the Colorado Springs area.

Bill was always an adventurer. Traveling the US, visiting our northern and southern neighbors, and sailing in the Gulf of California. Although all his dreams were not met, Bill spent many enjoyable hours planning his trips - realized or not.

Bill liked bears. He especially enjoyed watching the bears visit the backyard of his Colorado City home and following those of the North American Bear Center via the internet.

Bill is survived by his sister Phyllis (Bean) Winder, sons Brad and Kelly, daughters Tracy and Deidre, eight grandchildren, three (soon to be four) great grandchildren, a niece, nephews, and many cousins.

Donations in Bills name can be made to: Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, or the North American Bear Center of Ely Minnisota.

Per Bill's wishes, no service will be held.
