BELOIT – Arthur H Makowski, 76, died at his home in Beloit on June 18, 2022. He was born January 8, 1946 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Henry and Mary Makowski.
Mr. Makowski served in Vietnam and was a decorated war veteran. After his
military service, he attended Rutgers University in New Jersey. About eleven years
ago, he decided to make his home in Beloit.
Art loved Chautauqua Park and would spend many hours there reading, or communing with nature. He was an avid reader and spent many hours at the library. He was especially fond of professional sports and followed his favorite teams closely. He was a beloved member of the community and a loving father and grandfather.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother. He is survived by his son, Christopher Makowski, his daughter-in-law, Antonia Gardner and his grandson, Cayeden Makowski, all of North Carolina.
