Local basketball teams win all around

BELOIT – The St. John's/Tipton Lady Jays won a nail-bitter over the Lakeside Lady Knights, 48-46, on Tuesday to open the pre-season round robin tournament. The Blujay boys won over Lakeside 57-28. 

St. John's/Tipton will now play Thunder Ridge in Downs starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. 

Beloit Trojan boys defeated Clay Center, 61-39.  The Lady Trojans also defeated Clay Center 69-46. 

Beloit will now travel to Belleville on Friday to take on Republic County.
